I don't miss eating the flesh of the tormented

13 Feb 2016

Profile of a new vegan: Ann Borg was vegetarian for 23 years before learning about the dairy and egg industry. Here is her vegan story.

My name is Ann. I became Vegan 8 years ago. I have been a vegetarian since I was a 14 year old, I am now 45 years old.

My beliefs in becoming a vegan are to live a cruelty free life as much as possible. There was no internet in the 80's as a teenager. I learned a lot from books and letter writing to groups such as Animal Liberation QLD.

These days there is no excuse; the internet has exposed the cruelty inflicted by humans in many aspects of animals lives. My omission of dairy and eggs came about from learning about the dairy and egg industry via Animal Liberation.

I don't miss meat dairy or eggs.

I don't miss eating or drinking of the flesh or milk of the tormented.

The vegan business accreditation programs for Australia and Aotearoa New Zealand ensure restaurant and cafe customers can have confidence when ordering vegan dishes.
